Finding faith when you just can’t
A diagnosis of cancer can be a test of anyone’s faith. The truth is that you really never know how you’re going to react until it happens to you. If you do believe in God, but feel angry or betrayed, you may want to talk to your religious leader or bring your concerns right to God’s doorstep. It may help to keep talking about it, and praying about it, even if you don’t want to. Hopefully, you will find your way back to that place where your belief once again comforts you.
If you can’t believe but want toA great place to start is by praying for the willingness to believe. This may feel more authentic to you. You may also want to seek counsel from a religious leader, or someone you know who is a true believer. They can offer you guidance and may be a great source of comfort.
